Welcome to BeerWriters.com

We hope BeerWriters.com will become a sort of central "clearing house" for people who read about beer to find people who write about beer.
We are just getting started and have lot's of things to do yet so please be a gentle with us.
We have a "Suggest a Site" form where you can suggest beer related RSS feeds to be included. We have to check the sites in question because anybody who has run a web site for more than 15 minutes knows the spam problem out there.
There is also a small forum section for your use if you want. Mostly we hope to be a "Go Between" as I said.

Welcome

    10th Day Brewing
    Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 12:11
I am going to start this today with a couple of apologies.  First and foremost, I forgot my camera yesterday (ya it happens) so I did not get any pics of the WEB happenings.  And secondly, I also apologize for not gracing you all with my words of wit and wisdom (cause yes I am that important and you hang on my everyword), I was at the WEB and it was a great day of beer.

What is the WEB you ask?  It is one of the biggest summer beer festivuls in Michigan.  The World Expo is a fund raising event put on by the Frankenmuth Jaycees.  It has been happening for the past 10 years and features not only Michigan breweries but breweries from around the world (though with the huge Michigan beer...

    Wednesday IDPA
    Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 11:16
It's been four weeks since I shot the IDPA classifier, and I finally got back down to Black Creek this week to shoot another IDPA match. It was a small course of fire, just 38 rounds minimum, but still a lot of fun. I didn't shoot as well as I would have liked, but trigger time is trigger time, and due to my busy schedule I'll take a match when I can get one!

The first three strings made use of the same target array, shown below. On the first string the shooter started seated, facing up range. On the signal you turned and engaged two targets on one side,...

I'm in Williamsburg, VA for the weekend for an annual meeting / convention event. I open my "goodie bag" and there, right on top of all the touristy brochures, is a coupon promoting Williamsburg AleWerks. It's not too from the hotel. As is typical with these events, the schedule is jammed. There's no open time to escape.

However, the do apparently have the brewery's Chesapeake Pale Ale in the hotel pub. I think I can sneak in there at some point.

I’m a sucker for Krieks so even he label looks good.   This is the MillerCoors AC olden Hidden Barrel Kriek Belgian-style ale aged in oak with sour cherries added.  This batch was brewed in Dec 2010 and bottled on 10/28/2011.  No details on ABV but it will be packaged  in big 750ml bottles.
